I worked on a prototype star/galaxy map that we used to pitch for the graphics on the project.
The original idea was to have this be an interactive unreal scene that the actors could operate on set, in the end it was scrapped for a more traditional post shoot graphics process as it was deemed too costly during production and the design direction wasn't decided until after the shoot.
The star map was about 4000 star systems scattered as particles, the user could click on any of them and zoom into them revealing their planets. They could then click on planets and get more information etc. It was an interesting brief but was too fiddly in the end.
Later in the project i also did a tiny bit of modelling to support the excellent work done by our previs team, before making behind the scenes content and various video talks our leads did on the previs and graphics of the project.
